Launched in July 2023, Bike token was originally minted with 10M tokens. 50% of supply was airdropped to all Velo lockers. The remaining 50% stayed with the deployer to be used for incentives on Velo, which will entice LPs to deposit into the Bike pool.

HOW IT WORKS
Bike token has a 0.75% tax on transfers. That means when you buy it you get taxed 0.75% and when you sell it an additional 0.75% is taxed. 50% of the tax revenue goes to buy Velo and locking it to vote for Bike pool, which will give us Velo emissions and further incentivize liquidity. The remaining tax revenue will be used to improve the livelihood of cyclists around the world. Whether that means buying bikes for children in need, or sponsoring a professional cycling team, we are open to any and all ideas as long as the funds get directed towards the cycling community. All donations will have proof. If no proof is given, we would expect to be taken off of the Velo emissions white list.
There is no team allocation, however development costs can be taken from the marketing supply if need be.
We deploy incentives on a weekly basis. So far the Velo flywheel has proven successful as we have procured nearly $600,000 in liquidity simply by harnessing the Velodrome model. We continue to use our incentives wisely to maximize growth and liquidity.
